About Olive Grove PTSA
Olive Grove PTSA strives to enrich the lives of Olive Grove students in many ways. We meet in the school library the third Tuesday of each month, and we also offer online participation via Zoom. While being a PTSA member does not require any volunteering, we do encourage you and your child to attend meetings and get involved in events and projects we sponsor throughout the year. PTSA sponsors class field trip, school assemblies, community events, Spartan Race, Art Docent program, and other events and projects. Come join other parents, students, teachers and Mrs. Clay as we discuss ideas, plan activities and vote upon expenditures all for the benefit of our children, school and community!

ART & MUSIC DOCENTS
Want to Volunteer in Your Child's Class?
Inspiring school-wide engagement in the arts is an important role the PTSA plays! Consider volunteering as a docent in either art or music in your students class. Our PTSA also participates in an art program called "Reflections" through the California State PTA. This program provides students the opportunity to explore the arts through education. You can help advocate for the arts!
Students involved in the arts have tremendous academic benefits compared to students without exposure to the arts. Art inspires kids to excel in and out of the classroom. It helps students stay in school, increases motivation, improves attitudes and attendance, and improves academic performance.
According to Americans for the Arts, a student involved in the arts is:
-
4x more likely to be recognized for academic achievement.
-
4x more likely to participate in a math or science fair.
-
3x more likely to win an award for school attendance.
-
3x more likely to be elected to class office.
